Villa Pucci

Villa Pucci, originally the abode of the noble Florentine family, has been recently restored to its former splendour and is now a lovely private villa. It is surrounded by ancient cypress trees, olive groves and vineyards and below the house is a large swimming pool (18m x 4m) which enjoys a fantastic view of the valley below. Surrounding the pool there is a lawn with gazebo which is the ideal spot for relaxing whilst enjoying the sunset over the Chianti hills.

The accommodation is spacious and very comfortable, on the ground floor is a fully equipped kitchen which opens onto a terrace where there is a lovely wrought iron gazebo with tables and chairs for dining al fresco, as well as a built in barbecue. There is a large dining room with satellite flat screen television, a spacious living room with settees, armchairs, fireplace and billiard table, and a studio which also has a plasma television screen. On this floor there is also a twin bedroom with ensuite shower room, a laundry room, and handy washroom with basin and w.c

On the first floor of the villa there are a further seven bedrooms each with ensuite shower room (one has a bathroom with hydromassage tub). A spiral staircase leads to a mansard floor where there is a further bedroom with two walled balconies and with ensuite shower room.

Villa Pucci is furnished in typical Italian style with many antique pieces and paintings carefully collected and restored by the owner, who has also taken great care to retain the original characteristics of the house, such as its archways and lovely original terracotta floors.

Situated in a much sought after area of Tuscany in the heart of the unspoilt Chianti countryside Villa Pucci is only 5km from Certaldo with its hilltop medieval quarter, shops, restaurants and home of the important ‘Mercantia’ craft fair. Florence and Siena are both easily accessible via main road and rail links from nearby Certaldo, and San Gimignano as well as other famous Tuscan towns are within easy driving distance. There is covered parking for 2 cars plus further in the grounds.
