Villa Foiano

Villa Foiano is quietly situated in a lovely area of Tuscany just a short distance from the famous towns of Cortona and Montepulciano. Lovely gardens filled with mature trees and lawns surround the villa and there is plenty of space for relaxing and enjoying the peace and tranquility. There is a private swimming pool (10m x 5m) close to the villa which is furnished with sun umbrellas, sunloungers and a separate hydromassage tub.

The villa itself is comfortably furnished and becomingly cluttered with many antique pieces, family heirlooms, and original fireplaces creating a warm atmosphere of a past era. Villa Foiano is on two floors, the ground floor has a fully equipped kitchen, dining room, shower room, and charming living room with fireplace which opens directly onto the garden. The first floor has an unusual suite with a double bed and lounge area with fireplace and settee (which can convert to a bed on request), a further bedroom and a bathroom. From here 6 steps lead to three more bedrooms and two further shower rooms. The villa has a lovely shaded terrace for dining al fresco and the garden with its pretty gazebo furnished with easy chairs is the perfect spot for relaxing and soaking up the atmosphere

The owners who live close to the villa are friendly and helpful whilst not disturbing your privacy, they will happily arrange excellent home cooked dinners for you on request.

Villa Foiano is excellently located for touring the area with the towns of Montepulciano, renowned for its excellent wine, Pienza, for its pecorino cheese, and beautiful Cortona all being close by.
The treasures of the region of Umbria with its famous hill towns of Perugia and Assisi to name but a few are also within easy driving distance and Lake Trasimeno with its beaches, sailing facilities, and ferry services to its islands is an interesting place to visit.
The main motorway link is only 12km away, making also Rome and Florence easily accessible.

Villa Foiano is a perfect choice for a secluded holiday, for a group of friends, a large family or even a small wedding or celebration. Just 200m away is Villa Cortona, which can also be rented together with Villa Foiano to accommodate larger parties
