Selene winery

The Winery cottage is set in a beautiful and tranquil position close to the beautiful medieval town of Cortona, on a beautiful estate surrounded by extensive grounds with gorgeous gardens and secluded areas ideal for relaxing and dining al fresco. In a panoramic position below the cottage is a large swimming pool overlooking the valley beyond.

The Winery cottage originally housed the family’s precious wine stores and has now been carefully restored and furnished in traditional style. The unusual elongated living room has a kitchen area, a dining area with table and chairs, a comfortable sitting area with settee and armchairs, and has a light and airy atmosphere thanks to the patio doors which open directly onto the terrace at the front of the cottage. There is a spacious bedroom also opening onto the front terrace and a shower room.

The cottage is immersed in lovely mature grounds with many secluded spots relaxing in the garden or by the pool (9m x 4m), set in a charming position below and with lovely views of the valley and medieval Cortona on the hillside. Adjacent to ‘The Winery’ is the main villa and a further cottage which can also be rented.

Cortona, just 1 km away and accessible on foot is a charming town. Rich in history, it is a real joy to explore and has a variety of shops, and excellent restaurants. Within easy driving distance are many of the finest places of interest of Tuscany, including Siena, Montepulciano, and Pienza. Lake Trasimeno and the Umbrian towns of Perugia and Assisi can also be easily reached.
