Amalfi

Nestled close to the Cathedral Apartment Amalfi is reached via some steps, leading to its gated entrance. Furnished to a high standard, it is of open plan style and consists of a kitchen area, dining area with table and chairs, a sitting area with settee (which can convert to a single bed on request to accommodate an extra person), a bedroom with lovely wrought iron bed, and a modern bathroom. All of the apartment has been inlaid with tiles and lovely ceramic details typical of the area of Vietri, creating a warm Mediterranean atmosphere. Patio doors lead outside to a courtyard terrace furnished with table and chairs and ideal for relaxing or dining alfresco and steps from the terrace lead to a small garden, with lemon trees offering a shady retreat.

The enchanting town of Amalfi with its narrow streets, gorgeous, open air cafes and local restaurants serving typical local cuisine can be leisurely explored on foot, and there is plenty more to see further afield. Lovely whitewashed towns such as Positano and Ravello built loftily on the hillsides looking down towards the clear blue sea are close by, and you can also enjoy a trip to Mount Vesuvius or the ruins at Pompeii. Sorrento is also well worth a visit, with its cosmopolitan atmosphere and delightful maze of shops, cafes and restaurants which are a joy to explore. The local transport services (bus stop 200m from the apartment) reach most of these major attractions and there are also ferry services to the islands of Capri and Ischia as well as boat trips along the coast.

Note: There are some steps to the apartment, seafront and surrounding area, therefore this property may not be suitable for persons with walking difficulties.
