La Cisterna

La Cisterna is a unique apartment in the beautiful medieval hilltop town of Casole d?Elsa situated in the heart of Tuscany. The apartment has the added bonus of a pretty garden, internet access and is the perfect location for enjoying Tuscan village life.

La Cisterna is very nicely furnished and has many special characteristics such exposed stone walls and you can view the ancient well beneath a glass cover below the floor of the living room, a detail carefully restored by the attentive owners. The large bedroom retains an original terracotta archway, and is furnished with a romantic four poster double bed.

The apartments garden is furnished with table and chairs for dining al fresco and enjoys a nice view of the countryside. Below the garden is a small amphitheatre where musical evenings are sometimes held in the summer.

Casole d?Elsa is a joy in itself to explore, and within walking distance there are restuarants ,shops and a public swimming pool (open mid June ? Beginning September). San Gimignano, Florence, and Siena to name but a few of the beautiful towns of Tuscany are all within easy driving distance.

Parking is approximately 300m from the house, however it is possible to unload and load luggage on arrival and departure at the apartment.
